NA*

NA* is where Niagara Assembly’s media work lives: photography and video made to change how people see industry, and to draw them into it. We want to coordinate and produce it, with the people who make things and the people who make pictures.

Aspirational. We have not published any of this yet. This page says what we want to do and who we need.

Why media

There is a renewed push to make things at home, and it needs people. In Ontario, one in four factory workers was 55 or older in 2024, and the sector faces an average of 22,500 retirements a year through 2033, according to Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters. Employers and educators told CME that clearing up misconceptions about manufacturing careers, starting with parents and guidance counsellors, is key. Across the border, the Manufacturing Institute and Deloitte project that as many as 3.8 million manufacturing jobs could be needed in the U.S. by 2033, with as many as 1.9 million left unfilled if skills and applicant gaps are not addressed.

People cannot join, or invest in, what they cannot see. Pictures and video are how a career, a company or a sector gets noticed. Our interest is in producing and coordinating media that shifts perceptions, motivates people to take part in industry, and makes the case for investing in it.

Five kinds of work

What we need

We only feature people and places that agree to it, and we show real work, honestly. To be featured, to contribute, or to help make this, write to office@niagaraassembly.com.
