Niagara Falls

Two cities share the name, the river and the Rainbow Bridge. The world knows the falls; fewer people know the plants on the New York side making materials for aerospace and defence, or the employment land on the Ontario side set aside for new industry. Our name comes from this place, and we want to be part of both sides of it.

Aspirational. We have no presence in either Niagara Falls yet. This page says why we want relationships, partnerships and resources there, and what we hope to build with them.

What we have seen

Side	What was reported
New York	Americarb: a $29 million expansion of its advanced materials facility, with about 45 new jobs, tied to a Department of Defense contract. Reported in START Sparks, September 2026.
New York	Moog: a new ISO Class 8 clean room for satellite and space propulsion production, raising its clean-room capacity there by more than 80%.
New York	Goodyear said it will close its Niagara Falls chemical plant, as reported in Western New York Issue One. Growth and closure arrive in the same city.
Ontario	Niagara Falls is one of five municipalities in the Niagara Gateway Community Improvement Plan, which offers property-tax-based grants for qualifying projects. Whether a project qualifies is a question for the municipality.

What we would like to build

Meetups on both sides of the bridge. Meetups and talks where makers from Ontario and New York can find each other.
Stories beyond the postcard. NA* interviews and profiles of the people working in the city’s plants and shops.
Paths into advanced manufacturing. Training that follows what local employers in materials and aerospace say they need.
Space. Conversations about buildings and land for benches, storage and light industry.
